The monument is installed in front of the main facade of the Jalil Opera and Ballet Theater. He represents the figure of Lenin, conveyed in a calm pose - one hand is lowered, and the other is holding clothes by the chest. The sculpture is erected on a three-level rectangular pedestal with a stepped platform, lined with dark red quartzite. In the central part of the front podium there is a bronze bas-relief dedicated to the student meeting at Kazan University, which took place in 1887. Also on the pedestal is the inscription "Lenin".
