Dolphins are one of the most beautiful animals in the word. Dolphins are mammals. They are carnivores (meat eaters). They are bright greenish blue above, and yellow colour on it’s sides. All over the sides of their bodies they have Irregular blue or golden blotches.Their skin is very sensitive and has no protection from bumps or bruises. They have excellent eyesight and hearing.They are warm blooded. Dolphins can swim up to 260 m. below the surface of the ocean. They eat fish and squid. They communicate through chirps and whistles. Female dolphins are called cows, males are called bulls and young dolphins are called calves. Dolphins are very social animals. They live in groups formed by 10 to 12 individuals. Dolphins are some of the most playful and intelligent animals on our planet.
