Nowadays school children prefer watching tv to reading books. what do you prefer? what kinds of books or tv programs do you like? what can parents or teachers do to get children interested in reading?

I prefer reading books, of course. When I read books, I cconsentrate myself only on the story. And then I can easily image myself how heroes look like, how their houses lokk like etc. This feeling, when youl're absolutely absorbed into the book is really great. My the most favourite genre is detective. Detective stories are fascinating and it's really hard to stop, because with every new chapter the wish to find out the end becomes stronger. detectives make me think, reason and build logical chains. That's useful for my mind.
In order to get children interested in reading, firstly it's necessary to find out their hobbies and preferences. There're so many books written in this world, and each person can find something closse to his soul. For example, if a boy likes logical problems, he should read detectives. If a girl likes drawing, books about heroes-artist will interest her. So the choice of a book depends on the man.
