May 30, 1999 on the banks of the river Svisloch took place folk festivals dedicated to the last bell of schoolchildren. Among the celebrations was a concert of the group "Mango-Mango". Thousands of high school students on this day took to the streets of the city to celebrate the only and unique holiday in their lives. Many of the students wanted to get to the concert of their favorite band. Suddenly, the weather suddenly turned bad, and heavy rain began to fall with a large hail. Many girls and young men ran to a small and narrow pedestrian crossing at the Nemiga metro station, fleeing from bad weather, where a terrible crush arose, during which 53 people were killed. More than a hundred and fifty people survived in a crush, but received injuries of varying severity.
The whole country in those sad days wore mourning for its daughters and sons who died in a terrible crush.
