Winter Olympics 2014 were held in the the Black Sea resort city of Sochi on February 7-23, 2014. Olympics in Sochi were the 22nd Winter Olympic Games. The Olympics in Sochi were the most expensive Olympic Games in history. They were the first winter games carried out at the sub-tropical city. The Sochi Olympic Games had three official mascots: the Leopard, the Polar Bear, and the Hare. They were chosen by Russian people during a contest. The slogan of the Sochi Olympics was “Hot. Cool. Yours.” Athlets from eighty six countries took place in the event. Russian athletes won the highest number of medals so Russia was on top of the medal table. The opening and closing ceremonies are concidered to be among the most spectacular and impressive shows.
