A supermarket is a self-service store offering a wide variety of food and household merchandise. It is larger in size and has a wider selection than a traditional grocery store. The supermarket typically comprises meat, canned goods as well as various non¬food items such as housecleaning products, detergents, pet foods. The traditional supermarket occupies a large amount of floor space, usually on a single level and is situated near a residential area in order to be convenient to consumers.
One of my favourite departments in the Rodyna supermarket is the department of dairy products. Here you can buy different kinds of yogurt, milk, cottage cheese, cream and sour cream. The greengrocery department sells a good variety of vegetables and fruit: potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, oranges and tangerines, apples, pineapples, pears, grapes. Of course, the cheapest place to buy goods nowadays is the market. But you are to be careful about the quality of things there. So, my choice is buying products at the supermarket, which is situated near my house.
