Web woe it all (begin) quite normally. i (work) on the computer late at night. i (try) to design our new photo page for about six weeks, and i was just about to finish. then, suddenly, this message (appear) on the screen. it said that my old virus protection (just / end) and my computer was no longer protected. i needed to install a new version of the software. well, i (receive) lots of messages like this during the week, so i clicked on it. it was only the next day that i realised that i (make) a terrible mistake. the message was fake and i (allow) a virus onto my pc! the next morning, i turned my computer on and went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea. when i came back, the computer (make) a lot of noise – but i (not / start) any of the programs yet. i knew then that someone else (control) my machine. there was only solution – to delete everything on my hard drive and start again. i did that and my computer was soon back to normal, thankfully! so the reason for my post is to say ‘be careful! don’t trust every message on your computer! ’
