My name is Mike. I love summer holidays because they are very long and I have plenty of spare time. In June I’m at home. I read books, go for a walk with my friends. Sometimes my parents send me to a sports camp where children do sport, go hiking and that’s really healthy. In July my parents are usually on holiday and we travel somewhere. Last year we travelled to Turkey. We stayed in a good hotel. In the morning we went to the beach. We sunbathed and swam in the sea. In the evening we went for a walk along the promenade or around the city.
In August I usually go to my grandparents who live in the country. I help them with some housework and also in the garden. I also swim in the river. Sometimes we go to the forest and pick mushrooms.
At the end of August I go back home. I have some time for my hobbies like reading, playing the guitar or computer games. (Adapted)
