The police received a mysterious phone message:
‘Hello. My name is Mike. I was climbing up to the peak of Mount Rockmore and I saw a strange animal. It was really big and black. I’d never seen anything like it before. I don’t know if it was dangerous but I think it was walking towards the town. I can’t remember anything else. I’ll call you if I see it again.’
The police officer reported the message to the chief inspector:
