The park of the 900 anniversary of Minsk is founded according to the solution of a city administration in May 1967года. The secretary of the Central Committee of KPB Peter Mironovich Masherov (when opening he planted a tree, but the exact place of landing isn't known) took part in opening. The park in one of the most picturesque places of Minsk – on the bank of the Chizhovsky reservoir which surrounds it from two parties is located. In connection with construction to ChM-2014 on hockey of the ice Chizhovka arena in close proximity to park, the project, and now park was developed is on reconstruction. The territory of park makes 33,4 hectares. In the territory is available 15 deciduous and 3 coniferous breeds of trees, 11 species of bushes. In park cultural events are carried out.
