Beauty and the Beast.
One-day Beauty took her magic mirror and saw in it that her father was very ill1. She went to the Beast and said, “Please, let me go to see my father2. He is very ill.” “Go if you must, Beauty,” said the Beast, “but, please, come back in a week3 or I shall die without you.”
Then he gave her a magic ring which took her home that very moment4.
Beauty was very happy to see her father again, and she took great care of him5 during his illness. When her father saw Beauty safe and sound6 he soon recovered.
But Beauty was so happy at home that she forgot all about her promise.
