we can attempt to protect species from extinction by making it illegal to kill threatened animals or uproot or destroy the protected plants. habitats of the species can be conserved. breeding the endangered species in captivity and releasing them later can save a species from extinction.

Yes captive breeding helps a lot of animals to get rid of extinction but some animals are not easy to breed like panda and some other animals too but it is a very succefull way to help the endangered species.this study has been done and have a proof because many animals were saved by captive breeding.

Captive breeding programs are increasingly being initiated to prevent the imminent extinction of endangered species the aim of captive breeding is to boost an existing population and to make it large enough to allow the species to be reintroduced into the wild in one or more areas which is historically inhabited.

But captive breeding programs are often ineffective because it is difficult to recreate the conditios of the natural environment of the organisms in captivity. but captive breeding is very helpful for those endangered species.
